MacroPoint provides shipment visibility and tracking updates for active loads.

Setup checklist

  1. Confirm your MacroPoint account and credentials.
  2. Open Settings, then Integrations.
  3. Select MacroPoint.
  4. Enter the required credentials and tracking settings.
  5. Save.

Test workflow

  1. Dispatch the load.
  2. Start tracking from the load.
  3. Confirm carrier or driver details.
  4. Confirm MacroPoint accepts the tracking request.
  5. Monitor the first tracking update and any exceptions.
  6. Confirm load status and ETA updates appear as expected.

Normal usage

Start tracking after dispatch and before pickup when possible. Review tracking updates from the load, watch for exceptions, and update the load manually if the real-world status changes before the provider update arrives.

Troubleshooting

  • Tracking not starting: confirm required carrier, driver, phone, and stop details.
  • No updates: confirm the provider connection and active tracking status.
  • Wrong load details: correct stops and contact information before restarting tracking.
  • Carrier declined tracking: contact the carrier and restart tracking after the issue is resolved.
  • Status looks stale: compare the provider status with the latest carrier communication.
