People manages drivers and dispatchers used in carrier, load, dispatch, and tracking workflows.

Driver records

Driver records may include name, phone, email, carrier, equipment assignment, and active status. Keep driver contacts accurate for tracking, dispatch communication, e-signature workflows, and appointment updates.

Dispatcher records

Dispatcher records identify carrier dispatch contacts and improve communication during active shipments. Link dispatchers to the correct carrier and keep direct phone and email details current.

Workflow

  1. Open People.
  2. Choose Drivers or Dispatchers.
  3. Add or edit the person.
  4. Link the person to the correct carrier when applicable.
  5. Confirm contact details and active status.
  6. Save and confirm the person appears in search.

Imports

If your team imports people records, review imported drivers and dispatchers before assigning them to active loads. Confirm carrier links and contact details first.

Carrier readiness

Drivers and dispatchers should be reviewed with the carrier record during onboarding and compliance checks. Missing or stale contacts can delay dispatch, tracking, and document follow-up.

Best practices

  • Avoid duplicate people records.
  • Keep phone numbers current.
  • Remove or update contacts who no longer work with the carrier.
  • Confirm driver assignment before starting tracking or e-sign workflows.
