Pay Holds Report

The Pay Holds Report helps users find and resolve carrier payments that should not be released yet.

What creates a hold

A payment may be held because paperwork, proof of delivery, payment details, factoring instructions, carrier status, amount review, or internal approval is not complete.

Workflow

  1. Open the Pay Holds Report.
  2. Review held payments by carrier, load, broker, CSR, reason, value, and status.
  3. Open the source load or carrier record.
  4. Resolve the missing information.
  5. Remove or update the hold when approved.
  6. Return to Carrier Payments to continue payment processing.

Best practices

  • Use clear hold reasons.
  • Resolve document holds before payment day.
  • Do not release payment until the underlying issue is fixed or approved.

Reconciliation

Review held payments before settlement runs, ACH/Nacha batches, cash flow review, and Accounts Payable aging review. Export pay holds when sharing exceptions with operations, billing, or carrier representatives.
