ARK Tracking for Drivers
Use ARK Tracking when your broker or dispatcher asks you to track a load in the ARK Tracking app.
Install the app
- Open the text message from ARK TMS.
- Tap https://arktracking.com/download.
- Install ARK Tracking from the App Store or Google Play.
- Open ARK Tracking.
If the text did not arrive, ask your dispatcher to confirm the mobile number on the load and resend the request.
If ARK Tracking says an update is required, install the latest app version before starting or continuing tracking.
- Enter the same phone number your dispatcher used for the load.
- Tap Continue.
- Enter the 6-digit text code.
- Tap Sign in.
Do not use another driver's code. Each code belongs to the phone number that received it.
First-time setup
- Enter your full name.
- Select your vehicle or trailer type.
- Enter trailer dimensions and max weight.
- Add any capabilities that apply.
- Tap Continue.
- When asked for location access, choose Always Allow on iPhone or Allow all the time on Android.
ARK Tracking only sends location while you have an active tracking load or an enabled broker tracking connection.
Start tracking
- Open ARK Tracking.
- Open Active Load.
- Review the load number, lane, and stops.
- Tap Accept and Start Tracking or Start Tracking Session.
- Keep location access on until the load is delivered or your dispatcher cancels tracking.
Your broker sees the load as pending until you tap the start button.
Stop tracking
After the final stop is ready to close, tap Complete Delivery in ARK Tracking. This ends the active delivery tracking session.
If the load is cancelled, assigned to another driver, or no longer yours, contact your dispatcher. They can stop the current ARK Tracking session from ARK TMS.
Carrier changed drivers
The new driver needs a new ARK Tracking request sent to their own phone number.
- The dispatcher stops the current ARK Tracking session in ARK TMS.
- The dispatcher updates the load with the new driver and phone number.
- The dispatcher starts ARK Tracking again.
- The new driver installs or opens ARK Tracking, signs in with their own phone number, and starts tracking.
Do not forward the old driver's login code or app session to the new driver.
Common issues
No text code
Confirm the phone number on the load is the phone you are using. Ask the dispatcher to resend the request if needed.
Code is expired or invalid
Request a new code and enter the most recent code sent to your phone.
No active load
Ask your dispatcher to confirm they started ARK Tracking for your phone number.
Location access blocked
Open phone settings for ARK Tracking and allow location access all the time. Then reopen ARK Tracking and start the session again.
App update required
Update ARK Tracking from the App Store or Google Play, then reopen the app and continue the load.
